From a History Degree to...

History isn't all about the facts.

It's making connections, proving arguments, and using historical data to emphasize your point. Some students see a B.A. in History as pointless unless they are going to become teachers, historians, or professors...but that is not necessarily the case.

While those are noble pursuits, they are not for everyone, and we know that! Many History majors choose to take an alternative path, either combining it with another complementary major or keeping it on its own and furthering their careers in related fields.

Some examples of non-history related professions include law, journalism, or non-profits. Luckily, the American Historical Association has an entire website dedicated to this!
