Priority Point Information

You have the opportunity to earn two priority points for your membership - and participation -  in SEED.

In order to earn one priority point :

  1. Attend 50% of the SEED meetings. Meetings are held twice a month, or six times a semester. This means you should not miss more than three meetings. Brownie points for not missing any meetings.
    and...
  2. Attend 50% of SEED events. Events are scattered throughout the semester, usually taking place during weekends, and you only have to go to half to earn your one priority point. Stay tuned at meetings to learn about events.

In order to earn your second priority point :

  1. Attend 50% of the SEED meetings. Meetings are your prime source of information about SEED and our events so you should be coming to at least half the meetings.
  2. Attend 75% of SEED events, including one guest speaker. We try to host several various fun and informative events throughout the semester and we need active participation. We will have at least two guest speakers during the semester to inform us about environmental issues and the like; you must attend at least one of these speakers in addition to other events like hiking and apple picking.
    and...
  3. Attend one community service event. This could involve things like:
    • Helping to set up the Farmer's Market.
    • Assisting in our normal Fern Tor cleanups
    • Helping SEED set up a table for a campus-wide event.
    • Decorating cupcakes for a fundraiser, etc.

We'll keep you informed about volunteer opportunities throughout the semester through our meetings, Facebook, email, and this site! You can view some of them here. If you have any questions, please email us at MaristSEED@gmail.com, or message us on Facebook.
