Paul DiBlasiClass of 2013 |
Originally from Andover, Massachusetts, Paul is a School of Management Student pursuing a degree of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Accounting. Paul attended St. John’s Preparatory School where he played Lacrosse and Football and was a member of the National Honor Society. At Marist Paul was elected to serve as President of the Class of 2013 for 3 consecutive terms. During this time Paul planned and executed several events ranging from a Bull Riding Contest to a trip to the FDR Museum. Paul also enjoyed his time on the Student Senate, serving as an avid voice for students. Elsewhere on campus Paul is an active member of his Fraternity, Alpha Phi Delta, serving as both the Philanthropic Chair and Vice President. Paul is here for anyone on campus, anytime. Brian GelokClass of 2013 |
Brian Gelok is a Business Administration major with an emphasis in Finance, and he is currently the Executive Vice President. Brian is a member of the Class of 2013, and he is from Haverstraw, New York. Besides being the Executive Vice President, Brian is a Resident Assistant, a member of campus ministry, MCCTA, plays on three intramural sports teams, the Lower West RHC advisor, sits on the Dining Hall Committee, and he is a member of the Class of 2013 executive board. Through his time at Marist, Brian has served as a Junior Senator and the Treasurer for the Class of 2013. He has also served as the head of two Social Networking projects to raise money for a non-profit children’s organization. Brian loves Marist, Disney, McDonald’s, sports, and the New York Yankees. He is extremely out-going, and he looks forward to working with everybody as the Executive Vice President. Shalyn BaumClass of 2014 |
Shalyn Baum is a member of the Class of 2014 from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is a Fashion Merchandising major with minors in Business and English Literature. This is her second year being SGA’s Vice President of Academic Affairs. The position entails being the student voice on the Academic Affairs Committee, chairing the Student Academic Council, and planning the Faculty Member of the Year Luncheon. It also involves discussing academic issues and planning events such as the Academic Quiz Bowl. Besides being VPAA, Shalyn is the secretary of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society, the Assistant Director of the St. Judes Committee, and a member of Fashion Inc. She’s also very involved in acting and modeling professionally in Manhattan. She enjoys the New York Giants, film, reading, shopping, boating, and hanging out with her friends and family. Marc AdamskyClass of 2013 |
Marc is a Junior Criminal Justice major with a Communications minor. He is from Morristown New Jersey and considers himself to be the state’s biggest Steelers fan. He comes from a family of five that puts a strong emphasis on family values and being an overall good person. Therefore, Marc enjoys every second of his life and wouldn’t trade what he was given for anything. He is a very open person who enjoys conversations with everyone and anyone. He has been dating his girlfriend, Brooke, for two and a half years of whom he considers to be the most important person in his life after his immediate family. Marc was a Marist ambassador for a year before he took a bigger role in Student Booster Club, where he will be the President of for the 2012-2013 school year. He has been a part of the Booster Club Committee for his first two years at Marist, and spent his junior year on the E-Board as the Events Director. Marc has a deep passion for sports and athletics at Marist. After graduation, Marc plans on getting his foot in the door and becoming a local police officer for a town. In the future, his main goal in life is to move to Florida, start a family, and become a K-9 police officer. He also enjoys music, exercising, and playing video games. Luis Castillo Jr.Class of 2013 |
His family comes from the island of Hispañola, more commonly known as today´s Domincan Republic and Haiti. After understanding that their native land was not going to offer them much to raise a family, Luis and Juana (his parents) decided to move to The Bronx in the great city New York where Luis and his two younger siblings were born. Now as a College Junior, Luis Castillo Jr is a Criminal Justice and Spanish double major. He is a member of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity, ARCO, the Softball Intramurals and an e-board member of Campus Ministry. He was the Greek Council Rep for the Club Affairs board, the Greek Council President, a member of ARCO, RHC of Gartland, two Intramural teams, the Social chair for Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and an e-board member for Campus Ministry all as a sophomore. For his fall semester of his Junior year he was abroad in Madrid, Spain and returning for his spring semester he joined the Marist Dance ensemble. Luis loves dancing to Latin based music, playing sports and is a New York Mets fan. His goal for the Club Affairs board is to make relations between clubs and the school as transparent as possible. He has high hopes for the entire system to run very smoothly and will see to it that all clubs are in the knowing of everything possible. Courtney LawlorClass of 2015 |
Courtney Lawlor is an English/Adolescence Education Major from Stillwater, Oklahoma and currently lives in Denver, Colorado. She is a member of the Marist College Class of 2015, wanted to get involved with SGA right away, and served as a Resident Senator for the Paulsen Administration during the 2011-2012 school year. While on the Senate, she created the Sustainability Committee and was involved with the Campus Sustainability Advisory Committee. As a freshman, Courtney attended a NEACURH (North East Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls) conference in the fall and an ASGA (American Student Government Association) conference in the spring. She is involved in many organizations at Marist including Ambassadors, Singers, Arise, Booster Club, Leo Hall Residence Hall Council, as well as numerous others. In high school, Courtney held an executive position in Student Council for all four years and was Senior Class Treasurer, as well as being involved in many other clubs and activities. Courtney loves being a Marist Red Fox and she is excited to continue her work with Student Government throughout the upcoming years. Daniel TurnerClass of 2013 |
Daniel Turner is a member of the Class of 2013, but prefers not to think about leaving Marist. He is from Drexel Hill, PA--a suburb outside Philadelphia. He attended St. Joseph's Preparatory school where he played both football and baseball for 4 years. He is now double majoring in Communications(PR) and Spanish, and continues to excel academically. Daniel has been on the Financial Board since his second semester in Spring 2010 and became the Chief Financial Officer in March 2012. As the CFO, he works with all chartered clubs and organizations at Marist by authorizing expenditures and processing monetary-related requests. However, Daniel is passionate about all aspects of life here at Marist. In addition to his roles in Student Government on the Financial Board and Executive Board, Daniel has worked at the Office of College Activities since the Spring of 2010, and still finds time to play intramural sports and spend time with friends. As a member of Alpha Phi Delta, he participates in activities on-campus and in the community. Jeff Woronick is a Junior in the class of 2014 from Brookfield, CT and is majoring in Information Systems with a minor in Business. Jeff is very involved at Marist, serving on the Campus Ministry Advisory Board, the Student Booster Club Committee, the Emerging Leaders Program, the Captain of Relay for Life, as well as a being a Eucharistic Minister. Jeff was also involved with the Executive Board of the Sheahan Residence Hall Council his freshman year. Jeff’s involvement with Student Government also dates back to his freshman year, working with the Information Technology Council in addition to serving as the Assistant Chief Information Officer. Jeff is extremely excited to be the Chief Information Officer for the 2012 – 2013 year and is looking forward to making even greater strides in the area of technology for the Marist College Student Body. In his free time Jeff loves to run, workout, and play soccer along with other sports and Intramurals. Jeff also enjoys staying current with Apple news and products and can be described as an “Apple fanboy”. Jeff is eager to start his position and bring forth real change and improvements to Marist. Steve SabatoClass of 2013 |
Steve Sabato is a senior at Marist College majoring in Communications, emphasizing in Sports Communication, with a minor in Business Administration, entering his first year on SGA as the Director of Communications. He is from Hammonton, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Hammonton High School. He is the president of Marist's student-operated radio station, WMAR. Steve has also gained internship experience at CBS Sports, headquartered in New York City, where he worked with the Executive Directors of Communication, where he helped handle CBS Sports-related press surrounding events like the NFL Playoffs, the Masters, and "March Madness." He has also worked for the Carminucci Sports Group, where he assisted the Martha's Vineyard Sharks administrative staff in their inaugural season in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. He is an avid sports fan, Tweeter, and reader of books by Michael Lewis. |

Rebecca Snodgrass is a senior from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, a Philadelphia suburb. She is a Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. Rebecca is the President of the Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sigma, the largest sorority on campus, a member of the Senior Class Gift Committee, and a member of the St. Jude’s Up ‘Til Dawn Executive Board. She started off in Student Government as a freshman in the Junior Senate and was then appointed the Director of Public Relations under both the Lubrano and Paulsen Administrations. With Communications internships with companies such as the American Cancer Society her experiences make her a social and traditional media expert. Erica JordanClass of 2014 |
Erica Jordan is a Junior at Marist College where she is majoring in Communications, concentrating in Public Relations, and has a minor in Political Science. On campus, Erica serves as the current Director of the Elections Commission for the Marist Student Government Association. Last year during the Paulsen administration, she ran a record-breaking Student Government election. Erica played a large role in obtaining a voter participation of 36.33%, the highest record at Marist College ever recorded. Erica is also the president for the Marist College Republicans Club, a Captain on the Marist Cheerleading Team, a member of Marist College Toastmasters, and a member of the Marist College Dance Ensemble. In addition, Erica is a member of PRSSA where she is a journalist/photographer for their student newsletter “esPResso,” and an Account Executive for the student run PR firm North Road Communications. In her home town of Tannersville PA, Erica has sat on many boards such as the Youth Association of Pocono Mountain where she is currently the Youth Cheerleading Commissioner/Head Coach and was the teen-co chair for the United Way of Monroe County throughout high school. In her home town Erica is a gymnastics instructor at Miss Margaret's Arts Academy of the Poconos as well as an intern with the communications department of Pocono Medical Center. In Tannersville, Erica lives with her Mother and Father, Joanne and Anthony Jordan, and younger brother Mark Jordan. |

Nicolette CoanClass of 2013 |
Originally from Rockville Centre, New York, Nicolette Coan is a Studio Art major with a minor in Psychology and Photography. She works at Special Services serving students and providing them with support where and when it is needed. Nicolette is also President of the Ski Team here at Marist; she works hard to keep everything runnning smoothly! In her free time, Nicolette loves to take pictures, paint, volunteer at nursing homes, ski, and spend time with her family. She is eager to get involved and help in any way she can. Michael JohnsonClass of 2013 |
Michael is a member of the class of 2013 from Montville, NJ, majoring in Criminal Justice and Paralegal studies. After joining the Student Government in 2009 as a freshman on the Junior Senate, Michael was elected as a Resident Senator and has served in this position for the past two years. In that time, Michael has also served as the Senate Speaker, Chair of the Safety and Security Committee, Assistant Director of the St. Jude Fundraising Committee, and acted as a representative for Marist at conferences for the American Student Government Association. As a member of the DiBlasi/Gelok administration, Michael will serve as the Director of Community Relations, heading the civility campaign for the new administration. Michael can also be found around campus as the President of the National Residence Hall Honorary Red Fox Chapter, Co-Director of the St. Jude Fundraising Committee, and as an executive member of other organizations such as Marist College Toast Masters, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Chess Club.
