Jane Tracy is an English/Secondary Education major from Bellmore, New York. She is a member of Singers and campus ministry at Marist. This is Jane’s second year as a senator in Student government. She first began as a Junior Senator her freshman year and was later elected as Resident Senator for the 2011-2012 school year. Now, she is very excited to continue to bring positive change to the Marist community as Senate Speaker. Last year she was chair of the Dining Suggestions Committee and will continue in this role this year. When Jane has free time, she enjoys running, hanging out with friends and family, and taking trips into the city to see Broadway shows. Atiq Lucas is a Political Science major from Coram, NY. Atiq is the chair of the Marist College Student-Athlete Life Committee, and is looking forward to improving the student experience at Marist College. He attended Suffield Academy preparatory school in Connecticut and graduated apart of the Class of 2010 as a Post Graduated. Garrin Marchetti is beginning his first term as a member of the Marist Student Government Association as a Resident Senator. He is a junior from Reading, Massachusetts majoring in Communications with a Double Concentration in Journalism and Sports Communication. Garrin decided to get involved with SGA because he wanted to not only meet more students, but to also find new ways to make Marist an even better place where all students can feel comfortable in their surroundings and have fun! For the upcoming school year, he will be the Chair of the Campus Action Committee. Along with SGA, Garrin has also been involved with WMAR, The Circle, MCCTA, and Campus Ministry. He is also a Resident Assistant in the Lower West Cedar Townhouses. Samantha DeVito is currently an undecided major with French and Public Praxis minors from Pequannock, New Jersey where she attended Pequannock Township High School. There she was a two-sport varsity athlete and a highly involved member of her high school community. She was an officer in several clubs: one being the Secretary of her class, and another as the Co-founder and President of the Operation Smile Student Club. She also served on Operation Smile Student Programs Executive Leadership Council, in which she supported regional, national and international efforts as well as implementing a Leadership Conference for 750 International Students representing 23 countries. Her passion for people and for serving others drove her to run in the Student Government Association's freshman elections. Samantha served as the Class of 2015 Vice-President for the 2011?2012 academic year and is currently serving as a Resident Senator chairing the Sustainability Committee. Samantha accepted a position on Operation Smile?s College Council and is excited to continue her work with the organization. At Marist, Samantha is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, is involved in numerous clubs. Samantha is an Orientation Leader and is a Resident Assistant in Champagnat for this academic year. Samantha loves the Marist community and is looking forward to serve all of its members!

Maggie Crateau is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing for the class of 2014. She is from Danvers, MA, just north of Boston. Maggie was on the Elections Commission under the Paulson Administration and was recently appointed to the Senate in the DiBlasi Administration. Maggie is chair of the Hudson Valley Attractions Committee which looks to find new ways to enhance student's experience in the Hudson Valley. In her spare time, Maggie enjoys playing the piano as well as finding new music to add to her collection. She wants to travel the world and hopes to one day open her own business. Maggie is excited to get more involved in Student Government and is always looking for feedback and new ideas.

Justin is a Class of 2013 Business Administration Major with a concentration on Marketing from Brooklyn, New York. He was appointed in November of 2011 under the Paulsen Administration. He is the co-chair of the Committee on Commuter Life, and will be serving on the St. Jude's Committee E-Board in the fall. He enjoys watching and playing most sports, and bats cleanup on his intramural softball team. As a Sophmore living in the Fishkill area, Zain Qayyum is a Biomedical Sciences major at Marist who has been involved with student government not only from the beginning of his time at Marist, but also throughout high school. Zain was a high school wrestler until a neck injury physically impeded him from continuing his wrestling career. When he's not studying, Zain can be found coding websites and developing web applications or at the gym. Beginning his Marist SGA journey as a junior senator and now elected as a commuter senator, Zain plans to bridge the gap between commuters and traditional students, in addition to hearing and solving problems dircectly from the entire Marist community. Zain is open to any suggestions or opinions students may have. Nicholas Homler is an Eagle Scout from Mahwah, NJ. He is a Communications major with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film and Interactive Media. He also holds a minor in Music. Besides Student Government, Nick is the chair of the Senior Class Gift Committee, Director of Time Check, and involved with MCCTA, Admissions, Singers, and The National Residence Hall Honorary. Deborah Akinwunmi is currently the Class President of 2014. Deborah is involved in numerous activities on campus, including Ambassadors,the Marist Dance Ensemble, NRHH, and working as a Resident Assistant. Coming into Marist, Deborah wanted to get involved immediately, and she found that Student Government has been a great medium by which she can fully develop her individual talents, while having fun. She has learned to grow and love all of those she works with, and she is passionate about helping the class of 2014 anyway she can.  From Queens, New York, Giananthony is a Business Administration Major with an emphasis in International Business and a minor in Communications. Giananthony attended World Journalism Preparatory School where he was Student Body President for all four of his years, as well as creator and operator of its General Office Store. At Marist Giananthony is now serving his second term as the President of the Class of 2015. During his first term as class President Giananthony planned and executed several events including the first annual Fresh Fest, which included a Masquerade Ball, Mechanical Bull Riding contest, and a Petting Zoo. Giananthony also serves as voice on the Student Senate, representing the Class of 2015. When he's not in the office Giananthony is also a Resident Assistant for the North End, batting cleanup for his intramural softball team, and an active member of his Fraternity, Alpha Phi Delta.
