Vice President of Academic Affairs

Hi everyone, I’m Jaclyn Weiner the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the 2008-2009 school year. I’m a member of the Class of 2009, pursuing a dual major in Communications-Public Relations and English-Writing. I have served as a member of the Student Academic Council for two years, prior to transitioning into my executive board position. I’m very passionate about academics and as such, I’m really excited to be the voice for student academic issues. I hope to work alongside both faculty and students to resolve any and all conflict that may arise in timely manner. As Vice President of Academic Affairs, I oversee the Student Academic Council, which consists of student representatives that act as a liaison for their particular school of study.  The Student Academic Council hosts the Faculty of the Year luncheon annually to recognize outstanding professors.  We also put on the College Bowl every year, creating a little friendly competition between students and the winners of that have a chance to represent Marist at the regional tournament.
