MARIST MUSIC SPRING FESTIVAL CONCERTS TO TAKE BARDAVON STAGE APRIL 25 AND 26

POUGHKEEPSIE - The Marist College Music Department, under the direction of Arthur Himmelberger and Sarah Williams, will perform a myriad of musical selections at the Bardavon Opera House in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, April 25, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for senior citizens and $10 for students.

The Saturday evening concert will include performances by the Chamber Choir, Women's Select Choir, Gospel Choir, Wind Symphony, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. The Sunday matinee will include performances by the Marist College Symphonic Band, Marist Singers, Freshman Women's Choir, and Handbell Choir. Also featured are the college's two a cappella groups, the Sirens and Time Check.

"I'm very excited about the wide array of music we will perform," said Director of Choral Activities Sarah Williams. "We're spanning from Handel to 20th-century music and pieces from all around the world. Purely based on the variety of music, the audience won't know what to expect next."
